Permaculture at Rancho Cartagena

Rancho Cartagena is located in a climate zone defined as "tropical savanna" or "tropical wet and dry". In tropical savanna climates, the dry season can become severe, and often drought conditions prevail during the course of the year. According to Wikipedia tropical savanna climates often feature tree-studded grasslands, rather than thick jungle. Most of the region's annual rainfall is experienced during the wet season and very little or no precipitation falls during the dry season. Therefore practicing permaculture is so much more important here than anywhere else. A very strong consideration has to be giving in regards to water and what to do with the rain when it does fall.

On Rancho Cartagena we invite people to develop their own dream permaculture garden where the will be able to pick their own fruit and vegetables. The lots vary from 5000 m2 to 50.000 m2 so there is space enough for a beautiful garden right next to your new home.
